We would like to welcome you to the club and provide you with some information about the cricket activities we offer.

Sacriston Colliery Cricket Club provides opportunities for members from the age of 4 to receive quality coaching and competition. All coaching is provided by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

The club has been accredited with ECB Clubmark is the ECB’s club accreditation scheme for cricket clubs with junior sections.  Achieving ECB Clubmark accreditation is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for all participants in cricket.

We welcome parents and carers or guardians to all training and competitions and value your support. You will have received a copy of the club’s Code of Conduct for Members and Guests if you are registering a Junior Member.

The Code is in place to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for all junior cricketers and club members. Anyone entering club premises, attending any training sessions, matches or competitions is required to abide by the provisions of the Code of Conduct. Anyone who breaches the provisions of the Code or who does not agree to be bound by it may be prevented from entering club premises as a result.

We are keen to involve all members in the club whether as supporters or volunteers, our training sessions take place outdoors on a Friday from 5-6pm.

Arrangements should be made for your child to travel to and from training sessions and matches. We would appreciate it if children can arrive promptly and are collected promptly at the end of the session if they are not making their own way home. If you are going to be late picking your child up, please contact Iain Bestford 07866 740876 or Keith Allen 07932 396633 and let them know.

When attending club training just wear a tracksuit and trainers, if it’s hot a hat and sunscreen, if raining a rain jacket. The cost of each training session is £2 and membership is £10 per season (U9/11/13), £15 (U15/18).

We would be grateful if you could complete the Junior Membership Form for your child. For safety reasons it is important that the club is informed of any medical condition or allergies that may be relevant should your child fall ill or be involved in an accident at the club.

If you would like to talk to someone about this information or your child’s involvement with the club, please contact the Junior Coordinator, Iain Bestford on 07866 740876.
